What does Craftescents mean - lots of things, actually. This site is dedicated to the very essence of crafting. It is about being crafty and since it is electronically based, it is also craft-e. Sometimes being crafty involves scents, sense or often lots of cents. Are you thoroughly confused now, or are you inspired to join us on a journey exploring all things crafty. I hope you choose to join us. We welcome you with open arms.

What is crafting? The dictionary defines craft as follows: “to make or manufacture (an object, objects, product, etc.) with skill and careful attention to detail.” That, my friends, is the very essence of crafting. It doesn’t matter what medium you are working in, all crafters share that common bond of “skill and careful attention to detail.” If you are like me, you don’t have enough fingers and toes to count the number of times you have torn out, redone, or started over because you weren’t happy with the “details.” And then there is the eternal search for the right yarn, thread, material, paper, paint, ink, etc. that allows you to make your “object” perfect. Many is the time I have envisioned something and then searched high and low for some missing element that I see in my mind, but can’t find in any store. I’m certain that I am not alone on this trek (at least I hope I’m not cause then I might be crazier than I thought).
