I bet you are wondering who the characters are behind Craftescents. Let me introduce you to:

Stitchnx (Short for stitch ‘n time):

Stitchnx is a 48 year old wife, mother, grandmother and life-long crafter since around the age of six who could easily be labeled the schizophrenic of Craftescents. Instead of focusing on one or two media, she chooses to try them all at any given time. Areas of expertise include crochet, macrame’, cross stitch, needlepoint and crewel embroidery. She is proficient at knitting, hardanger and sewing and dabbles in tatting, quilting, painting, beading, aromatherapy, candle making, body butters, ceramics and calligraphy. See, I told you she was a schizo!

Purlgrrl:

Purlgrrl is a 35 year old married work at home dog-mom. The geekiest of the group, she enjoys creating things almost as much as she enjoys taking things apart to see how they work. Purlgrrl is our html and software expert. How she converts this talent into craft projects will amaze you. In addtion to manipulating bytes, she dabbles in knitting, needlepoint, painting, ceramics, herbal body products and cooking up dog treats.

Nitnfool:

Nitnfool is a 53 year old mother of three and grandmother of three and when she plays the lottery she plays three. Nitnfool is a retired nurse, EMT, firefighter who spends most of her free time knitting. She is the resident knitting expert of the group. She knows how to crochet but she says that the one-needle-thing is frustrating to her. She would like to learn more about ceramics and her favorite saying is “so much yarn, too little time.”

Skyzoom:

Skyzoom is a 64 year old widow, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is the self-described flighty crafter of the group. When she chooses a craft media she sticks with it until she masters it. Then she moves on to something else. Skyzoom is the expert ceramicist of the group. Not only is she an awesome painter, but she has owned her own ceramics shop and taught ceramics classes for a number of years. She has extensive experience with leathercraft and jewelry with a focus on native american crafts. She is proficient at scrapbooking and paper crafts including card making. Her current interest is counted cross stitch.
